First thing, open up photoshop and make a new document.
Type in your text and create a new layer (Ctrl+Shift+N).
Make sure your new layer palette is ABOVE your text palette.
Click on your Gradient Tool (G) and use these settings..
Now, use the Gradient Tool and make a small horizontal line at the left side of the text.
It should look like this now..
Press Ctrl+G and jump to ImageReady.
In the animation section, create a new frame..
Now, click on the Move Tool (V) and move the invisible gradient across the screen. You should see it go through the text. Hit the tween button.
Save it "Optimized As" in GIF form and your done!

for reflective text.
Well I have CS4. Here is how I do it;
Start out with any size document, any background to foreground color.
Pick a font, type what you want. Double clicking on the text layer is optional as to whether or not you want to add effects such as shadows, strokes, etc;.
Now, to get the reflective part, you're going to duplicate the text layer. [Drag it to the "New Layer" button. If you don't know what, or where it is, its at the bottom of the the layer section, it has a peeling corner. Now you should have 2 layers of the same text.
Select the "copy" layer, go to Edit > Free Transform > flip vertical.
Now, drag it down, and it should be the flipped version of the first copy.
Now, what you'll notice is, your copy has the same effects. obviously. And it won't get the reflective feel to it. So, double click the "Copy" layer, and get rid of all the details. As to whatever extras you added to it.
Now, add a gradient overlay to the copy layer. It should be, whatever color your text is, fading to whatever your background color is.
Just flatten the image. Save. And there you go.
I put this here, because one, this tutrial he/she has. Doesn't work. And it says "reflective text" and there isnt any part of that on here.
