I really wanted to learn how to make “Glitter Text” one day so I googled it and only found tutorials for paintshop. Eventually I found one here at CB for phtopshop (great tutorial, BTW.) I’ve used it to make several things. However it’s not the same look that the PSPers can create, which is what I wanted to learn how to do. Eventually, after playing around on my own, I figured it out so I thought I’d share.
STEP 1. Select the “glitter” you’d like to use. You can use the one I’m using or you can select/create your own. (This is a nice site with many different colors http://www.geocities.com/elsa2421/glitters_galore.html

When you find the color you want to use, or if you’re using my example, right click SAVE AS and make sure it gets saved as a GIF.
STEP 2. Open Photoshop then Jump to Image Ready
(or open Image Ready on its own). Open your just saved glitter file. You should see that is has three layers.
STEP 3. Switch back to PS. Now we’re going to define each one of our glitter layers as a pattern. To do this, make sure only one layer is visible at a time. Click on your image and press CTRL A. This selects the entire layer. It should look like this:
STEP 4. Click on Edit then click on Define Pattern.
Name your pattern anything you’d like in the window that pops up. Repeat this step for the other two layers. Now that your Patterns have been defined you can go ahead and close the glitter file.
STEP 5. Open a new document in PS. I created one that was 350 pixels by 100 pixels. Now, choose your Text Tool
and type in anything you want. I used my screen name.

Make sure you make all 3 layers of the glitter patterns, then copy your text layer 3 times, on each text layer, use a different glitter pattern over it. In image ready, animate using all 3 layers alternately. To save, save as optimized

hey but on step 5 after i type somethin wut do i do ?? i follow all the steps but in step 5 wut do i do after typeing?? so i can make it glitterly
