the whole idea is we're told to believe in God and have blind faith in god
so what you're saying is to go my entire life putting my faith into something that's been written in a book. there are so many different versions of the book and so many different branches of the same one religion science at least you see some results and you can have somethin to back up an idea |

I already told you, having to prove something is irrelevant as well. Exactly, so I don't "need to prove there [sic] nonexistence even exists." You've just refuted your prior post for me. We do not need proof for the nonexistence of Thor and Zeus and Apollo. There is no evidence for them or any other, so we can legitimately say that they do not exist. |

I haven't been reading this, so i apologize if someone already mentioned what i am about to say.
Science can be proved correct, religion can't. |

science doesnt have all the answers
but does that mean if we don't have an answer we make up something to make up for what we don't know. Religion i believe is formed through rebels because if your a rebel you follow your own beliefs and through that you gather followers the followers share the same beliefs and practices thus creating "religion" think bout it religion everyone follows the same practice and beliefs they follow through with things religiously and so with that we call it religion. |

science doesnt have all the answers Just wanted to throw this in (because what you said reminded me of it): Science tells how us how, but not why. It's in religion that people get the why (and ethics, right and wrong, and good and evil, etc.). Saying, though, that there is a great force that could not cease to exist (and is the cause of something, but has no cause) is something that I don't think I will ever understand. |

Eventually, any and all things eventually try to reach equilibrium of 1 |

ITS ALL AN ILLUSION CREATED BY OUR OWN MINDS. OUR MINDS ARE THE MOST POWERFUL THING IN THE UNIVERSE, AND ALL OF OUR LIFES ARE FAKE. Naw i don't know, could be, heard about it, sounds good. haha

The idea that religion is the basis for laws and ethics and all that i find that to be a load of shit too cause if you think bout it.
Look at how our government was formed it's formed on basic things which are the same things written in the bible. but the things written in the bible as the ten commandments. so are you telling me people have no common sense and they need to rely on a book to give them an idea as to how to live their life? |

I think both are really important. But science a little bit more. I'm not very religious. Science can help us with alot of things. Its helped us with health, everything. But religion is just a few exorcisms.

The idea that religion is the basis for laws and ethics and all that i find that to be a load of shit too cause if you think bout it. I'm not disagreeing with you, I just thought I would throw that reply out there. A lot of the problem (misunderstanding, maybe) that I have with people who always refer to holy texts is that they that feel the need to base what is morally right and wrong on scripture. Nothing is morally right or wrong just because someone (or something) says it is. But a lot of people and pick and choose which "commands" from the scripture that they want to follow.Look at how our government was formed it's formed on basic things which are the same things written in the bible. but the things written in the bible as the ten commandments. so are you telling me people have no common sense and they need to rely on a book to give them an idea as to how to live their life? |

i think science. because without no science there wouldn't be no religion. religion wouldn't have their rules without the knowledge they know from science.

Science, by far. You're comparing disease to antibiotics.
Without Science total world population wouldn't be more than a few hundred thousand, most of whom would be looking for dinner under flat rocks. To quote someone whose name I've forgotten, life would be nasty, brutish and short. |

I'm not defending Religion here (atheist here)
But science shouldn't be taken so in such high regards. Because of the social ideals that Scientists are smart, and know what they are doing, they have alot of people's respect. People will listen to them. That's why Science is used to manipulate and use as social control. I mean look at the flu shot situation. Scientists says you should get one, but in reality you don't even need it at all. Let's also go as far as Global Warming. Global warming is f*cken fake, but because scientists have said there exists one, people buy into it. Science is a tool for social control. Most of the time when you hear "Health" organizations, 9/10 times they are doing more harm than good. I'm just saying here, that you shouldn't take science as FACTS. Because science isn't always FACTS. It's more like socially accepted FACTS to socially control people's way of thinking and lives. don't get me wrong. science does indeed have legit facts and etc. but if you look at the bigger picture, than that's where i'm getting at. /rant. rememeber, i ain't defending religion, cuz i got a /rant for religion too. |

yeah but people who take science as fact have a basic misunderstanding of what science is in the first place.
but either way, i would way rather people put their fact title on gravity than on global floods ect ect ect ect for every scientific theory vs religious one |

false Lol so you actually believe Global warming is real? Yeah, when Al Gore released his book, many environmentalist were awed and believed him. After years though, there's been criticism of this Global Warming idea. Why do you think they refer to it as climate change. Come one, if you look at Earth's history in a geographical and climatic aspect, you will see a pattern. The fact of the matter is, we are currently in the middle of transitioning into another Ice Age. Global Warming is just another tool for social control. |
