Before the finale performance, I wanted Blake to win, cause he was unique.
But I forgot how friggen` good Jordin was when she sang, so I kinda started rooting for her. Oh well. Yay.  And yes, American Idol is sucking year after year. The first season was great. But honestly, it just like dropped wayyyyy down when Ruben and Clay were the finalists in the second season. And did you notice this year, how they didn't show the two cities of the finalists anymore? -_- |

Nothing different there, that's true, but when I listen to her performances (most of them, that Stayin' Alive was the weirdest thing I've ever heard) I keep thinking... damn, that woman can REALLY sing. |

If you mean they didn't show the reaction of their hometowns, no, they didn't.

It's hardly a fair comparison, considering how something like 74 million people in America waited for hours to vote for their Idol, while Canada only has a population of 30 million. How sad is that? Over two times as many people vote on American Idol than they live in Canada. |

She's better than Taylor. By default, of course, but whatever. And frankly, i think this was the best Top 4 the show has ever had. Season 4 would give them a run, but I think the combination of individuality and talent was at a very high level. The problem was, the best singer (Melinda) was just DULL. And it lowered the whole tone. Next year will be better, most likely. |

Besides, only few have gone on to have real success: Kelly and Jennifer for sure, Carrie and Fantasia somewhat. Then men though? Where did Ruben go after that awful song he put out? Taylor Hicks? |

I feel like I wasted my time watching AI this season. I've never bothered any time before, I guess I was too bored.
Basically, the top 15 were disgusting. If they'd tried out on the first maybe... 3 seasons, they would have been given the boot quickly. Jordin, idk. She's ok, but something has annoyed me about her since day one. If it comes down to who will make American Idol the most money, Blake or Chris should have won. Jordin will have her 2 seconds of fame probably and we won't see much of her again. Blake will stick around like a leech. |

Yeah this season was pretty lame compared to the previous ones. Like seriously how the heck did Sanjaya even make it to Idol, nonetheless make it as far as he did. And yeah I was pretty dissapointed when Jordin won, but I was kind of expecting it.

To make American Idol fresh, I heard from my radio station that they're pretty sure Paula and Randy are going to be replaced with younger more "hip" people. But eh, i'm not sure if that'll happen because i think that's why they were expecting last year.
I don't think Blake was all that great but he was pretty original. Jordin was for sure a better singer than him in my opinion. I wanted him to win though. They'll both be successful. |

I have never watched an episode of American Idol. the only reason i got into it *still never seen a show* this season, is because Blake if from my city i live in. We even graduated from the same school..not the same year.
So it was a big thing for idol to happen to Bothell :) Blake even came for a day here to sing for us. |

there was that article-thing about kat mcphee not being invited to perform on AI last season or something...dunno, i dont follow it that much besides SANJAYA [cause there is someone in my grade who looks JUST like him]

When she starts comming out with stuff i'm sure it will be great. |

And I kind of like the judges the way they are... would be like, a massive departure not to have Paula cracked out of her mind while mumbling niceties every week... sad times... |
