Well, you're suposed to do a base coat with the clear polish first. Then you put about two more coats on of the nail polish you want and it wouldn't hurt to have another coat of clear. blink.gif But no, it's not necissary. _smile.gif

ear cleaner to clean the finger??
what's the purpose?
*

you soak an ear cleaner in nail polish remover, and clean the nail polish around ur nail, so it looks nice and clean. theres a special thing u can use, its a cuticle cleaner or something, but idont have one so i use an ear cleaner, works the same happy.gif

cool i can answer this..I come from a family who does nail..Anyway back to question:
1. first is to put a base coat. Base coat is to 1. strength your nails, and 2 avoid yellow stain from the polish. That all it really does. (Right to left or left to right. One time)
2. Polish from right to left. or left to right however you consider. First time you apply, apply the nail polish thin not thick! You try to do as thin because 1. it easy to dry quicker and 2. so you can apply a 2nd coat to make the color coat even on every finger. (2nd coat must be thin also.) Don't forget to polish the tip of your nail. Its help preventing from chipping.
3. Last is to put a top coat. Top coat is just for shine and to dry faster.

cry.gif i didn't put a base coat, then paint it... it's yellow color. few days later (today) , i erased it with nail cleaner... many of the color was cleared, but still have some very very very light yellow color on it!! what can i suppose to do? cry.gif is it the result of not putting a base coat?

tutorial!! happy.gif
alright i finally got around to this, i'll say right now that the pictures arent that great but i think youll still get the whole thing.
step 1. remove all polish using nail polish remover. make sure to get it all off. the nails should look something like this..
step 2. file nails down how you want. give them a nice shape.
step 3. after filling your nails, wash them off real good with soap. use a nail brush to get the stuff out from under them too if you like. then apply a base coat.
i do center, side, side. quick thing made on psp (yes it sucks)
let dry. i use a nail dryer to dry them, which you can buy at walmart or anywhere like that. if using a nail dryer then i let each hand stay in about 2mins. theres no need to leave in forever, esp. on this step.
step 4. choose your nail polish and apply one coat, using the same way as you did the base. dont try and make it really thick, but not to thin either because it will give you trouble. just get enough so it doesnt run everywhere but still is enough for the whole nail. dont worry if it kinda looks see through. let dry for about 3min.
now apply a 2nd coat, making it nicely on top of the 1st. let dry, 3-4min.
step 5. now apply a clear/top coat. and this time let dry around 5 mins. your nails should be dry to the touch, but if you hit them on something they could get messed up, so be very careful with them for the next 30min - an hour. that doesnt mean you cant do anything, just dont go "digging in the dirt." lol
finished look...

i hope this is helpful. and i dont know really where to post it where it can be seen more, so for now i'll just leave it hear unless someone tells me otherwise. if you have any more questions then PM me.

I polish it 3 or 4 times because I suck at it and like I always miss the spot so I have to polish it again and again. It's annoying, so I don't even use those colorful polishes. I just use those crystal clear ones hehe.

and OMG -- polishing your right hand... really sucks because using your left hand is hard to do stuff for right hand.. like write on it or put polishes... because im right handed not left handed person.

you do one coat of the color you want....like when it dries...you do another coat of that same color so you can actually see the color...then add clear nail polish

you mean you used nail polish remover not paint remover, right? hope so lol. maybe try some peroxide (stuff in the brown bottle) and like use a cotton ball to clean out your nails, it works really.

I just put one coat of color wait to dry then use nail polish remover to remove it around the nail, then point a coat of clear nailpolish for shine, works for me every time
