Round One Commences!

For overview and rules, click here.

The theme for ROUND ONE is NATURE! Designers send in your designs to all of the judges. Submit the layout by Friday, September 15th, 10:00 PM EST (two weeks are not being given for the first round - the theme has been announced for over 2 weeks). Judges will decide who (it maybe one or two people) will be eliminated after the deadline.

ooh...great entries so far, I haven't made any layout or graphic in almost 3 months! -.-;;
I already finished this round though (had so much fun doing it) xD but its not coded yet...
*mumbles* I hate coding...

Question! If I can't get it aligned in both Firefox and IE for some reason (uhh), would you prefer that it be perfectly aligned in IE or Firefox?

Kathleen, for LXS voting purposes, I'd recommend that you code so that it's aligned in firefox, not IE, because IE renders coding differently than the majority of browsers (firefox, opera, safari, ...).

Just to make it clear, my design is only aligned in Mozilla Firefox. I couldn't fix the background image to match up with the overlay, so I'm pretty sure it is not aligned in Internet Explorer. Thanks.

me too. I can't wait to it.

anime.essence, your background in ie is only a couple pixels off. I like the navigations. Very neat.

Thanks. I viewed it earlier after I posted. I didn't do such a bad job. happy.gif I like organized, simple, but still very modern styles. I am always trying to experiment with something new. Your designs are rad too moorepocket.

^The font on the navigation and the blog looks very abnormal in Firefox, but it looks normal in Internet Explorer.

^Sorry, I cannot help how the font is, it is Small Fonts and to me and others, it looks fine. We are not here to critisize and change every little detail. The design is what it is, and if you have a problem with it, do not click on the entry to view it. That is all I am suggesting. Thanks. mellow.gif

anime, maybe you can assigned more than one font for a categories. For example, if someone computer don't have "fontA" then it will show up as "fontB."

font-family:fontA, fontB

like that.^

wow 0.0 the pressure, yet I'm flattered =D,... yet intimidated =/

I'm almost finish with it now...I spend all my weekend doing a gazillion pages report,...well..10, school sucks T.T

ill send the thingy in asap.

My only suggestion is to allow "friends" to cut through the image. Unfortunately, the letters were cut.




Wow, it looks like your layout can easily turn into a myspace.

I have my Vincent Valentine images and it hadn't been coded.
