Yeah, so I've been looking through the new topics and I've been wondering. Do the topic starters even know what they're talking about?
I mean, I don't mean to offend anyone, but the new topics look like they've been pulled out of goatse's ass. ( If you don't know who the goat man is, you're lucky. ) So here are some tips on How to post a decent topic. Tip 1. Get a Good Subject. Okay, so you're new to the whole forum system. You really don't know how to do neat things, right? That's okay, that's why you're not writing this. Sorry, I kind of went off topic there. The First thing you've got to do in order to make a topic where people won't just write, " 15! " or " I don't know, " is to find a really good subject. Now, this subject needs to be appealing to everybody else, not just you. Topics like, " OMG IM SO BORED SIGN MY XANGA! " isn't a very good one. In fact, I'm personally gonna hit your head with a baseball bat if you make one like that. What's a good subject, you ask? Well, that's up to you. I personally like topics that have real good meaning to them. Like that topic about " Cure for AIDS " or the few ones about the War. It gets people to actually think about something. Not just what their ages are, or when they were born, or what they're wearing that second. So have you found your subject? AWESOME! Tip 2. Write Well. So you've got your subject. And it kicks major ass, right? Good. Now, you're probably thinking, " y duz he hab tuh mak a step bout writin? " Because, my good friend, writing is very essential in the process of making a topic. It's the topic's contents that will either make it or break it. Here's an example of a topic that is good: http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18871 Do you see how [2]Nekked wrote in complete sentences with punctuation and correct spelling? It looks pretty in the eyes doesn't it? You see, even if you have a really good subject to talk about, people won't take you seriously if your writing is mediocre at best. Here's a perfect example of that: http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18828 Okay, he's got the title set. It has the ability to attract posters because of the fact that it mentioned something about moderators. He also had, " what should be done? " as the title description. Now, I don't know about you, but I say posters would be attracted to that topic like moths to a flame. But here is where he messed up. Do you see how he asked, " are there more good mods or bad mods? " If you didn't know the choices, you'd think they would be, " more " or " less " right? What he wrote however, made no sense whatsoever. Well, you should just see for yourself. So do you know what to write yet? Good Job. Tip 3. The Proper Use of the English Language. Do you see how I've been writing down my sentences? Enough said. < You > u`re so gay! i righ` lyk dis` cuz i wan to < Me > Okay, I'm making fun of you because I want to. So there you go. Three tips on how to make good topics. Hope we'll be seeing more good ones in the future. I believe in you guys, don't let me down! - Chinkieeyedpnoi |

That's excellent. I want to add on that:
If you are done typing to post a new topic, make sure to preview it before posting it. And thank you, Jose, for bringing it up. |
