MORE POSTS = MORE RESPECT?, what do you think?
Do you respect a cb member more if they have like, 10,000 posts as oppose to 3 posts?

alittle bit...since people with like no posts are unknown and new. and some people have a few posts and are known for bad things. ex: spamming, being annoying/bitchy, ect.

Yes. I believe that more post equals more respect/more clout here on cB. If someone with 100 posts double-posts or insults someone who has been on here awhile, then all the old school members jump on their back and gives them a lecture. If someone with 1000 posts does the same thing, then it more often than not goes overlooked.

However, my opinions are just observations. I'm probably a bit jaded because I make a lot of serious posts and really make an effort to be part of the community but it doesn't really matter most of time because I haven't hit the 1000th post or what-not.

In a certain right, anyone who has over 5000 posts is a very dedicated person and if they are respected more than other members, they've earned it....

no, there are quite a few people that are only on cb to submit skins and never post a thread and they are respected.

Well, I guess indirectly more posts= (generally) more respect. But, this condition comes with rules doesn't it? I mean, look at all the people who were annoyed with angel_r0h when she spammed.
I also agree that we give the newbies a hard time. They have to learn too.

I don't know if I personally believe that, but it sure as hell seems like that around here. =x

//

I'd respect some one who posted a long rant and only had 2 posts more than some one with 2000 who just posts stupid and pointless things. (It's happened before)

Meg (WhiteLotus) took the exact words right out of my mouth. People with posts more than 1,000 and double posting, I highly respect them, because they put thought into their posts. But if they are fooling around (yes, and this goes to newbies too), you know what I'll say. wink.gif It really depends on this kind of matter. _smile.gif

Honestly people;

most of you sulk up and down to people that have more posts. I have no big opinion on it personally, but you can tell it does occur.
Hm, that's usually how it is in the world. The larger, bigger, stronger, etc. get more respect. There's no way I can reverse it; but it does happen and none of us can deny it.

^ That's not always true I have over 1,000 posts and I'm only 13 =\ I've never read the community guidelines to tell you the truth whistling.gif

I respect those who help out in cb, or if they're a mod even better. I'm fine with any noob as long as they don't start on cb by spamming.

Bringing this back since some idiot just wanted respect in chat; it's only been about a week anyway.

I've said before, you want respect, you earn it. It's not freely given away, it's not something people are obligated to give you. To be honest, there are a lot of members here I really don't respect, even though they do have high post counts; it's content that matters, and a lot of this shit on cB isn't worth reading half the time.

Honestly, you people who kiss other members' asses, it's pretty pathetic and lame that you kids do so, especially because it's through the internet so there really is nothing to gain. Stop with the bullshit; learn what respect is.

And really now. Respect from just having a high post count? That's bullshit. It's perhaps intimidation and a little bit of envy more than anything. A high post count doesn't mean jack shit. However, if you can tell by a member's posts that s/he's a dedicated member, that merits something.

So when you say you respect someone for having a high post count, just no. That ain't right. I mean, take away someone's entire post count - say, BrandonSaunders or uninspiredfae - they'll still get respect because you can tell that's the sort of people they are - dedicated, hard-working, respectable.

Now that it's off my chest, I'm going out. See you later, kids.

usually if a member is making their posts everywhere, its because they want to be known.
they want to be remembered, i guess. i guess it gives you more respect. although there are only 2 people currently with 10,000+ posts....

hehe.

not really.

if it's 1000 posts of spam then no.

if it's 1000 respectable posts, then maybe.

And it's probably because they're seen more.

lol I always see people with more post counts getting more respect on here. And it's kinda natural for you to respect someone who's been here longer and has more posts, then someone who just got here and has 3. Tho, we should respect everyone at the same level, whether senior or noob. But don't get me started on that lol, cuz that doesn't happen around here.

And yah it is about Quality rather then Quantity. There are some people here with 10,000 posts that basically say nothing. And then there are people here with 300 posts, and have alot of good, constructive things to say. so i mean yah lol

usually it's
more posts=more time here=respect earned

not
more posts= automatic respect.

I've been here a week..and no one has dis-respected me, but I don't know anyone..
