The eyes (and lashes!) on that baby are beautiful, but I don't think red was the best color for the content areas. It makes it look more creepy than anything else.

I'm really not a fan of this layout. The red nav and blog background looks completely out of place, the 'adorability' of this is lost on me and...it seems hastily done.
