This tutorial will show you how to do a really nice abstract effect.

Step 1. Open a new 300x300 canvas. Press D to reset the palette to black and white.

Step 2. Make a new layer. >>Layer>>New>>Layer or the little icon on the Layer palette.

Step 3. Select the Gradient Tool with these settings: Foreground to Background, Linear Gradient, Mode Difference, All boxes unticked.

Make tons of gradients until you get a good blend of black and white.

Step 4. >>Filter >> Blur >> Radial Blur. Radial Blur with these settings: 100, Zoom, Best.

Step 3. >>Filter >> Pixelate >> Mezzotint >> Long Strokes.

Step 4. Radial Blur with these settings: 100, Zoom, Best. Press CTRL+F three times to repeat the filter.

Step 6. CTRL+J to duplicate. >>Filter -> Distort -> Ripple with 999% Large.

Step 7. Radial Blur with these settings: 100, Zoom, Best. Press CTRL+F three times to repeat the filter.
Filter -> Distort -> Twirl at 200 degrees.
Note: you can change the number of degrees to get different results! They come out real nice!

Step 8. Set blending mode to Lighten on the Layers palette.

Step 9. Merge down CTRL+E.

Step 10. CTRL+U to colorize with: 200 Hue, 50 Saturation, 0 Lightness. (or any other settings you prefer, but make sure the colrize button is checked)

Cool Effect, but what would your recommend using it for?

This Is Well Cool But i think u used a diffrent version of photoshop 2 me
i have the new one...
