Realistic flame effect

This tutorial teaches you how to create a realstic flame effect that comes out from the bottom of the canvas in Photoshop.

1- First of all open a new document with the size of 400x400, with a white backround and in RGB color mode.

2- Make sure you change your foreground & Background colors to the Default colors by pressing this button or the "D" button.

3- Now Go to Filters > Render > Coluds to get something very similar to this

4- Now go to Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates, and set it to " Polar to Rectangular" User posted imageto get this:

5- Go to Filter > Brush Strokes > Accented Edges use these values (Edge Width: 5 ,Edge Brightness: 38 ,Smoothness: 15)

it should end up lookign like this

6- Finally go to Filter > Render > Lighting Effects and input the values as shown in this picture, make sure to move the sphere in the preview panel to the bottom of the window to make the flow grow from the bottom to the top.
