Should I remind that Many states in the southwestern area of the US belonged to Mexico? Or even more so that people that came to the "New World" made up a bunch of bullshit because there was the American Indians already here. The Eastern part of the US belonged to the American Indians while the Western area was home to different people from Mexican tribes. The tribes weren't necessarily located here, but they still had people inhabiting this area.
