Photoshop Tutorials

Click on thumbnailed images to enlarge

Step One:
First, Open An Image With Photoshop.
I will be using this one which i made earlier today for my website.
Step Two:
If the image is not an odd shape and you could select it easily without other images getting in the way...
Click The "Rectangular Marquee Tool (M)" (shown below).
If the image IS an odd shape, you will need to hold down the "lasso tool" (underneath the "rectangular marquee tool")
and select the "Polygonal Lasso Tool" (shown below).

Then, Using the tool selected, select the image you would like to make into a brush.
EXAMPLE USING: "Rectangular Marquee Tool (M)"

EXAMPLE USING: "Polygonal Lasso Tool"

Steps Three & Four
Next, select "Edit" in the navigation bar.
Then select "Define Brush Preset"

You will then be given this screen, below.
Name your brush if you would like, and press "OK".

Congratulations! You've Just Made A Brush From An Image/Image Pack!
To use your new brush, select the brush tool...
(located a few tools below the "Rectangular Marquee Tool (M)" and the "Polygonal Lasso Tool")

now select the arrow on the top, under the navigation bar...

select the brush of your choice, and your set!
