1)open your pictures.
get your polygon tool and outline whatever your going to color(i used her shirt).
2)once you've outlined it fully make a new layer (layer>new>layer)
make sure your on the new layer then go to the drop down button next to normal on the layers section and set it to color.
3)then take your gradient and stretch it across the area you selected to have color and your done!

i love using this,. but your results were very "sketchy". I noticed some blue still poking out and it doesnt blend well.
