First of all, make a new file with this settings:
Width: 100px (or higher)
Height: 100px (or higher)
Background: Transparent
Pick a color of your choice and take the Ellipse tool.
Put on these settings for the Ellipse Tool:
Make a circle on the middle of the canvas like the one below.
Now take the Magic Wand Tool.
Set the properties like this:
Select the circle you've just done and make a New Layer. [Layer >> New >> Layer]
Now lets use the Brush Tool, with the same color you used for the circle. (Recommended: 65 pixel Soft Brush)
Click on the lower part of the circle, like it's shown on the picture.
Change the blending mode of this last layer to Color Dodge.
Take the Eliptical Marquee Tool and make a selection on the upper part of the circle as shown below.
[NOTE: Make the other circle (the selection) outside of the original circle (where the transparent parts are) and drag it to the upper part of the original circle.]
Make a New Layer. [Layer >> New >> Layer]
Now change your current color to White and take the Gradient Tool.
Set the properties as shown below:
And apply it from the top to the bottom like this:
You can lower the highlight's opacity if you want.
Here's the final result:
Width: 100px (or higher)
Height: 100px (or higher)
