Creepy Eye

I did this tutorial using Photoshop CS2.

STEP1: Get your eye!
Get the image of your eye. You can crop your own eye out or you can use a stock photo. I got my image from EveryStockPhoto.com

STEP2: Color
I like the color of the eye in my picture but it doesnt exactly scream creepy. There are many many ways to change the color of your eye. I am not going to tell you how, that would be a waste of time. I'm positive there is a tutorial here on cB that will tell you.
change the blending style
After you have changed your eye color to something that suites your taste, duplicate your layer (CTRL+J). Set your blend mode to Overlay.

STEP3: Get your textures
The main part. Find textures that you might want to use. Saying textures might confuse you. Basically, find images of cracked pavement and/or glass. Again, I got these images from EveryStockPhoto.com

STEP4: Use your textures
Take the image of the cracked pavement (or whatever you have chosen) copy it, and then paste it onto your eye. Then, experiment with blend modes. The ones that usually look best are multiply and overlay. I wanted it to still look like skin so i set it to color burn.
Here is my result:

Now, the eye is too dark. So, take your eraser tool and start erasing the texture from the eye. You can be specific and use the lasso tool or you can just free hand it.

Now, i'm going to do the same, except with the bricks texture.
Again, experiment with blend modes. I really liked darken because it looked like splattered blood. However, it didnt maintain the skin look. So, i chose overlay.

Note that i didnt erase the texture from the eye this time.
Now, we want the inside of the eye to look less plain. So, i applied the two glass textures. Dont forget to play around with blend modes! Also, you want to erase OUTSIDE the eye, this time. unless you like it the way it is, ofcourse.

I personally dont like how that came out.But, i did rush it. It's different from the one i showed as an after.

YAY! Now youve got some strange looking eye. You couldve actually stopped anytime during the middle of the tutorial. I slapped on some text and rotated the image. i actually think i made it look worse, lol. i dont like the final but here it is!
