Tutorial is fairly simple. I don't have many pictures, but I will edit the tutorial later if people are having trouble.

This is the before and after:


First thing you want to do is select your brush tool.

Now you want to mask the part of the image that you want to look more tan. To do this, press q on the keyboard and mask the subject that you want to look more tan.

After masking your image, press q again. The image you masked should be selected along with the outer image. To get just your subject selected, go to Select > Inverse. Your subject should now be selected.

Now to get your subject more tan, you want to create a fill adjustment layer.

You want to click solid color. The color I'm using is 8F5715 which looks like this:

But really, it depends on your color choice.

So after picking your color, click ok. Your image should look a little wierd. So you want to right click on the new layer that was made and go to blending options. The blending options should be put on Hard Light. Now, adjust the opacity to whatever fits your subject best. I have my opacity on 19%.

Awesome! I have CS3 and it works just fine. It took me a while to figure things out though. Lols. Thanks for sharing.

It can be done in cs3 although Im not sure it will be quite the same steps? I dont have cs3 so I'm not sure.
