In this tutorial I will teach you how to make the basic drop shadow.
1)Open up an image.
2)Type in whatever text you want,no specific kind of font.
3)Make sure its on Vector.
4)Go to Effects-->3D Effects-->Drop Shadow
5)You can change the height and width of the shadow by simply changing the "Vertical" and "Horizontal" settings.
And your finished product should turn out sort of like this..
