Now I temporarily don't have Photoshop (long story), so I'm going to submit some tutorials for Paint shop pro. In this tutorial I'm using PSP9.
This is quite possibly one of the easiest tutorials for PSP so I'm not going to provide pictures, but if people are having problems with the tutorial I will add pictures.
The first thing you want to do is open up your picture. After opening up your picture, create a duplicate of the background layer. (You can do this by going to Layer > Duplicate or by right clicking on the background layer in the layer palette and clicking duplicate)
Now on the duplicate background layer, select the freehand selection tool. You can make a general selection around the teeth or the mouth because we're going to fix that up at the end.
With the teeth selected, go to Adjust > Brightness / Contrast and again Brightness / Contrast. A shortcut is holding Shift + B.
Now the brightness / contrast part really depends on how the teeth look in your picture. On my picture I have brightness 28, contrast 3. But again, play around with it so it looks good on your picture, because what looks good on my picture may not necessarily work for everyones.
After adjusting the brightness and contrast to your picture, click ok. You should notice a difference. Now double click on your background duplicate layer and set the blend mode to luminance and 100%. Again on the picture you should notice some difference. If the teeth look too white or too perfect to you, lower the opacity of the background layer duplicate.
You're almost done, but now we're going to tidy up the area around the teeth. You're going to do this by selecting a small size for the eraser and carefully CAREFULLY going around the area of the gums and wherever else the brightness/contrast may have gone too. This part takes a bit of patience and you should do it in small strokes. After your finished with that part, right click on your duplicate background layer and select Merge > Merge (Flatten). After this you're done!
If you have any questions or problems feel free to PM me.
