how come there is so much white around the box and flowers? I can't see any of the black/gray stripes but at the very top....

Pretty, I love the colors you used.

Interesting. But there is a bit of white around the flowers that don't look like it's meant to be there, that might be just me, I dunno. If not... then I'll suggest maybe using the Extract Tool to cut them out from the flowers, that way it'll blend better with the layout, and maybe add some drop shadow on them. But none the less, still a good job.
