this is very gorgous, but the big gap underneath the image bothers me a little bit, so the height of one of your DIV's is too big..so review that slightly, it would be much better because the page would not scroll, and i've got a thing about that.
i like the positioning of the navigation.
however, the text on the image could have been positioned a little better...it looks as though it has just been placed there because there was no where else to put it.
very sweet little layout though.

This layout is very bold, very sweet. The only thing is the picture seems a little dark, and the quote seems more loving than dark. Does that make sense? lol

very nice, seeing this is your first layout. the background and the picture don't really seem to connect, you might want to fade the edges of the picture. there seems to be a lot of blank space at the bottom. and i'd have to agree with the picture looking better if it was centered. the image looks like it's bad quality. maybe try png? a more interesting navigation would've helped with the plainness. try a more sophisticated font family for the content overall. love the backgrounds of the contents. well ill be looking forward to your next layout. good job.
