this is div overlay not standard. tr to make the image png because the quality seems bad. and i agree with S-Majere about the main picture. try to have some more color to the fonts. if u're going to have a space between "home" and "*" then you should do it for the rest of the navigation. btw, when you submit at Createblog and it's a myspace div layout, you're gonna get a lot of criticism (mostly from me) but it's well done seeing how this is your first.

Very sweet, I like the background effects and the soft blues. You could do more to the main picture to integrate it into the layout - but a lovely design.
