make the background image fixed. bring up the content area. i love the navigation hover though. there's too little space between the navigation and the content area in IE and too much space in FF. however, i love the navigation hover, background, and the colors u used. =]

the effect on the image looks amazing. i also like the idea of having the banner image at the bottom instead of on top of the content. very creative! the colors work well, too.
