yeah, it's definitely your best. This is exactly what I meant when I said you can make simple layouts that aren't plain. This has some flair to it, even though it's still really simple.

has anyone tried it in IE with the nav not centered?? just wondering.

Yeah it does look bad in IE.
Still great layout, I'm liking the font you used.one of my fav fonts.
