How can i change what the comment box thing says?

but i dont really understand how to replace the music notes with pictures of my friends, as well as how to put a link along with it

ifeel, you know your friend ID is a number, right? It's NOT the same thing as your myspace URL. To get your friend ID, you have to click on the link titled Profile that's underneath your default photo on your myspace home page. Look in your browser's address bar when your profile loads, and your friend ID will be at the end of the URL.

hey im trying to put my friends ids on all the "x"s but its not working

rhyrhy, you have to right click on the photo you want to use (make sure it's a small one) and select properties.
in the box that pops up, you'll see an image link ending in. jpg that will either be labeled as "Address (URL)" or "Image Properties > Location" depending on what browser you use. That's the image URL.

im having problems gtting the pictures of me and my firnds on here. how do i get the link for the pictures?

julie, you are replacing it wrong somehow.
you only need to replace this link:
http://img187.imageshac k.us/img187/3981/thumbop0.jpg


with a new link that also ends in .jpg.
if you're getting the link from Photobucket, you need to copy the URL link.

be sure not to erase any of the surrounding code. the link still needs to be inside of an img src tag.

but when i try to replace the picture with one of mine, it just shows the URL instead of an image.

Cortney, you are probably missing part of the code from Who I'd Like to Meet, the end part of the code. The code should end with these "words," but within tags:
div class="comments" table tr td table tr td

If you're using Safari to copy the code, you'll have to use a different browser to copy it, because this site isn't compatible with Safari for some reason.

My comment box doesn't show up like it does in the preview. What should I do to fix it?

hmm katelyn, I'm not sure that would come out that great, because this layout is only unique because of the navigation. I suppose i could get rid of the words and alter the image... I'll see. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

lynx, repositioning shouldn't affect the starting of your music. Sometimes in Firefox it can disable the play button though. Can you PM me your myspace so I can see if it does the same for me? Unless myspace changed something, the code shouldn't be messing with that.

I didn't disable that.
It worked before I use this layout.

To make the music start automatically, you actually have to change a setting in myspace. If you go to the edit profile screen there's a tab at the top to edit music settings.
