The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is an American rock band that formed in Middleburg, Florida.The band was started by childhood friends Ronnie Winter and Duke Kitchens in AP music theory class which they shared in 2001. They were both in other bands and mainly goofed around covering songs from bands like Blink 182 and MxPx. They later joined members from Duke and Ronnie's other bands (Dishonest and The Recovery) together to officially form the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus in 2003. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus signed a production deal with Vision Sound Studios Inc. and Producer Scott Fravala in mid 2004. Fravala and the RJA quickly recorded and released an untitled independent demo with six songs, arranged and produced by Fravala. The band added 7 more songs a few months later again produced by Fravala and Vision Sound released their first self-titled 13 song LP that same year.
