try a question that has to do with the other person's interest or something that both of you like. try to get to know that person, like ask what's their favorite shop, kind of music, and stuff like that.

make fun of them. it works great.
or help them with somthing. like at a concert i stopped people from running this girl over while she was looking for fer phone, or somthing. they usually start the conversation with me, though. |
