i need to update my ipod and my computer is so f-ed up it wont let me download the updater from apple.com so i wanna know if any1 knows another place to download ipod updater 2005-09-06

What happens when you go to http://www.apple.com/ipod/download and click the download links?

when the download window comes up it says it takes 13 hours to complete and then after like 3% downloaded it will say "not able to complete download from appldnld.m7z.net"

That happens to me a lot.. it's because of my connection. Sometimes the download will restart (whenever I click on it), or continue from whereever I left off.

It may be a bit of a hassle, but you can bring it to your friendly neighborhood apple store, sign up f or the help bar. Wait about 20 min (depending on crowding) and have one of them do it for you.
