If you go to my livejournal, you'll see that i have a solid border, around an image that surrounds my entry boxes.

I was wondering if there was any way to put an image in the border, i've tried everything i can think of but nothing will work.
If anyone can help, i'd appreciate it a lot.
thanks. _smile.gif

dude, READ before you try to help. you're nowhere near the answer.

are you trying to get the image in the navigation box?

if so, j ust enter in the image tag with the rest of your coding, but make sure to include "style="visibility: visible" to it.

(i think i got that style wrong, i'll edit it if it is..)

not in the navigation box, in the box around the whole page.

here's my code for the border:

<!--
border-style: solid;
border-top-width: 30px;
border-bottom-width: 30px;
border-left-width: 90px;
border-right-width: 90px;
border-color: #E7DCCA;
-->

<!--
}
div {
direction: ltr;
}
body {
direction: rtl;
}
table {
direction:rtl;
}
td, td table {
direction: ltr;
}
-->

maybe that will give you a better idea?

I think i have tried to do that before, i dont think there is really such a thing. try border-image:url(www.whatever.com); in your body css?
i dont know if that will work.

i've tried it, it didn't work.
thank you though!

i don't think it's possible either.
someone gave me the idea of putting my entries in a scrollbox & putting in a background image so it looks like a border with an image.

:]

thanks everyone for helping.
