The other day I removed services.exe with AVG and now when I boot up, I get a message about services.exe not found and verifying it exists or removing the registry key.

since it doesn't exist anymore, i'd like to remove the registry key. the problem is, I don't know which one it is. Thanks to anybody that can help. _smile.gif

Bad idea to remove services.exe--it is a part of Windows that manages the starting and stopping of services.

It must have been infected with some sort of malicious program (virus, worm, something along those lines).
