help with added section code, & question about scroll bars Options

okay, If you look under 'Who I'd like to meet' (on the left side of my page) you will see that I have added a 'Check out' section. There is an empty line between the title and the content. I'd like to know how to get rid of that and just have my content directly underneath like the 'Who I'd like to meet' section.

Here is my coding for that part, which I have under my info in the who i'd like to meet section:

<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com --><br /></td><br /></tr> <br /></table> <br /></td> <br /></tr> <br /></table> <br /><br> <br /><table bordercolor="ffcc99" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="435" bgcolor="ffcc99" border="0"> <br /><tr> <br /><td class="text" valign="center" align="left" width="300" bgcolor="ffcc99" height="17" wrap="" style="word-wrap:break-word"><b><font color=limegreen>Check Out:</font></b><br /></td> <br /></tr> <br /><tr> <br /><td><br /><table bordercolor="000000" cellspacing="3" cellpadding="3" width="435" align="center" bgcolor="ffffff" border="0"> <br /><td valign="top" align="left" width=" 435 " bgcolor="ffffff" style="word-wrap:break-word">Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Blindside-The Great Depression. The Blood Brothers. 'Emily' by From First to Last. Jack's Mannequin. My Pictures. All the bands I have listed under music. All of my friends' myspaces.<br /><!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

Also, I'd like to know if it is possible to get scroll bars in the comments section, but not the friends section. Thank you.

~Katie

I find it hard to believe that nobody can help me with this, especially the first thing.
