help needed with hiding friends/centering comments Options

ok here goes.

i usually to hide my friends list,but keep my comments.
i've decided i now want my comments ONLY centered at the bottom,& have applied this code:

</table></tr></td>

This works great in firefox,& looks how i'd like it. Except for some reason in IE,it's
showing my "hidden" friends & comments centered at the bottom of my page.

it's also not showing a view more friend's link,almost like a custom friends list,except that i haven't chosen any friends.

can anyone shed any light,or maybe help me with a code that'll work in both IE & Firefox?

comments only & not the friends & comments centered is what i'm after!
