I try to make an avatar, right? I usually save it as .png or .jpg. but they turn out blurry and icky. any advice?? what should I save it as?

I do gif or bmp for avatars, when I do avatars in .png they become invisible huh.gif

oh well duh if its animation it has to be .gif... but yeah its cause png is a good quality and it can't make a little picture good of quality so it does that

I didn't use any layers for my avatars... so, what should I save it as that is actually allowed at createblog?

.gif works.... But make sure the URL ends in a file type! Tiny URL usually isn't allowed, because it had a Javascript-induced picture showing method. You can use Imageshack or Photobucket and your pictures will show up.

^ It's not about the avatar showing up. it's about preventing the avatar looking icky and blurry. so.. .gif? I will try that. and yeah, I use Imageshack.
