If ya all wanna read a really scary book, read Domain by Steve Alten. It's all about this topic. It's science fiction (i think) and it details how the Mayans predicted the end of the world on December 12th (or 21th) 2012. Most of the things in that book are eerily true. I was paranoid for weeks. Read it. Scary stuff.

I went to disney world earlier this summer, and at mgm, there was the tower or terror.... so scary but fun! everytime I hear the music from the twilight zone, my stomach feels the same way it did when I was riding the ride

oh gawd, not another end of the world crisis.
I had so much fun on year 2000, sitting at home eating potato chips in front of the tv, watching all the phsycho religous "oh my god the world is going to end, spare me" ppl praying on little blankets. They must have felt pretty stupid after midnight and nothing happening. I can jsut see it now. "The world was sopposed to end DAMMIT!  "

yah...i remember watching a video in s.s. about the Mayaz and that umm they predicted the world would end on Dec. 21 in the year of 2012....im not sure about the month and date, but im postive about the year....pretty scary!!!!

That's a load of crap.
All the quatrains, or prophecies, that he made were extremely unclear and metaphorical. They could have meant anything. For all we know, Nostradamus could just have been some faker who wrote down tons of "prophecies" that were too unclear to relate to anything in specific, but instead could be attributed to anything. |

He actually said that what is happening right now would be the third world war…and that when it ended, due to an unexpected alliance between the eagle and the bear (america and russia?) that there would then be a 1000 years of peace before the end of the world. The belief that the world will end in 2012 actually originates from the mayans. The mayans had the most accurate calendar to-date. The Mayan calendar, though made a very long time ago…has always reflected the exact position of the stars and constalations (sp?) and has even predicted the moon cycles. Down the the letter, they have been 100 percent accurate in their studies of astonomy and astrology. It's really quite fascinating. Well, the Mayan calendar suddenly ends in 2012. I actually beleive it's in may...if i remember correctly. Yeah...that's me...filled with useless information. :) Thanks for letting me strut my stuff a bit. |

I went to Nostradamus site too...and he didn't even mention it. You know his poems and they predict the future... yeah.... I couldn't find anything about 2012

"Nostradamus NEVER said the world would end in 1666, 1999, 2012, 2096, or any of those years. In fact, he was quite clear we would survive through all of these other conflicts, and if we took it upon ourselves, we could change / prevent what was indeed going to happen. click for more |
