i am completely the same. infact i have this one scary day of the year, where my period runs SOOO FAST. like i'm not even joking i literly have to change my pad every 20 to 30 minutes. it's freaking unbelieveible, yet i get it on one day, EVERY YEAR> :S.

i have a few questions. i read that if it bleeds thru the tampon for 1-2 hrs and mine does that but it also really hurts wen i pull it wen its been in there for more than 4 hrs. also since i had this really bad cramp that made me really dizzy and made me take deep breaths anywyz do i still need to tell my doc this even though it happend awhile back?

Ok my periods are usually REALLY heavy like i go through a tampon in an hour and a half... but it's suddenly really light i got it yesterday and it was light and now today there is like no blood at all!!! is this bad?? i went to the doctors thursday and thay put me on birth control but i haven't started taking it yet they told me to wait til sunday... it's saturday now so i should just have a regular period... i took some midol AND a PM could that be making it wierd?!?! help!!!

Your flow is just uneven; it's nothing unnatural. Sometimes near the end of my period I get hardly any blood at all one day but the next day it comes back more heavily.

I actualy will get my period like normal for a few months then skip a few months. ive been like that since i got it. i figgured its cause im still growing. im 19 now so im sure itll regulate soon. the longest ive had me period in a row was 4 months and now...i skipped it. its gay. lol im not having sex so i guess i have nothing to worry about eh? lol

It's definitely normal. You can never predict the woman's body just like you can never predict the weather. Just wait a few more days, and if it doesn't come, either A: your period line isn't stable or B: you have stress during this month. Don't stress about it. My period is extremely weird. It comes at the beginning of the month, and then next month, it comes at the end of the month, and then the next next month, it comes in the middle of the month. So your period is always changing days whether you know it or not.

It's very normal; it's not going to arrive on time every single month; don't stress about it.

Trust me, miszxjojo. You can never be sure on when your period will come unless it has consistently been like that for a while (I'd say about 6 months to a year). Don't worry about it, and your period will come. I'm not sure if this will happen to you, but before my period comes, my stomach gets cramps. So maybe once you feel cramps in your stomach, you should put a pad/tampon in case. :).

idk if i have uterine bleeding or heavy menstruation (btw, whats mestruation? yes, im stupid lol) but i can always feel it coming out or whatever.. and i hate it.. and it's never been like this before.. it feels like that theres a lot coming out sometimes..

I think that the stuff about 1 to 2 hours is stupid,
because some people just bleed heavier.
i have a bleeding disorder so i already get it pretty bad,
not just with my period.
theres not much chance that you would have uterine bleeding,
you might just be a heavy bleeder in all cases.
i get the feeling of it coming out as well, if you dont like it its much more comfortable to use tampons.
dont stress too much.
(menstruation is just the period )

oh and by the way, with you saying that it hasnt been like that before, if you havnt been getting your period for very long some people only get them really light to start with, then they change, but it all evens out :)

You don't have to wear tampons just because you have a light period. You can use a small pad (that's what I use when I have only a little). Also, just because your mom thinks it hurts, doesn't means it'll hurt if you wear it too. Just ask her if you can try it for a day, and if you feel comfortable and it doesn't hurt, you can switch if you want. It doesn't hurt to try, because if you don't try, you'll never know. Experience things on your own. :). And summer '07 is definitely a very short period of time, since it's January '08 right now.

ya so im really confussed...all my friends talk about their periods n stuff...and ive never had mine...but the last week of the month i have HORRIBLE cramps...i dont know wat 2 do?!

It isn't abnormal in any way at all. It's called discharge (and is also being discussed in the discharge thread featured below), which usually shows up before and after you've had your period.

It's normal for this to happen if you've had your period for less than two years, since it takes at least a year or two for your period to become regular. It could be stress that's making you skip so many months. But it's nothing to worry about, unless you've engaged in sexual activity in the past few months (I'm not assuming you have).

Eh, I had mine a few weeks after I turned twelve and I'm now thirteen going on fourteen in Sept. It'll come within a few weeks sometimes, then others it'll come every other month It scares the bejeezus outta me.

I've never had cramps or anything relating to my period. No breakouts, no pain, nothing. Weird huh? It just comes and goes.... and its light.

Go ahead.. be jealous. I bet its going to bite me in the ass one of these days, tho and Im going to have the worst pain ever during that time of the month.
