are you using an embedded font? if so, that font might not have the heart symbol.
try using one of xanga's default fonts and see if it shows up. |

well..try this...before submitting them...in ur 2nd step...do an extra step..copy those hearts n paste them on notepad....n then in the toolbar for notepad...find format n then check word wrap..n then copy the heart again n paste them back into ur entry..n then submit...i think it works after....because i got same problem too..on my header..but now its fixed...

when u go to ur xanga, right click and hover on encoding. then click on western european. good luck. o and the code for the heart is  |

You might not be able to store Chinese characters on a Xanga. Technical explanation: Xanga pages are sent in the ISO-8859-1 character set, which does not allow for Chinese characters. To get them to display, you must use the HTML entity code for a Chinese character (which will look like &# 123; or ģ).

You're setting the title with JavaScript, and you're setting the title string to all the HTML character entities; your friend isn't. You could try altering your script to use the actual characters, not the entities.
