You know what? Forget it. Maybe it is best to just sit back and not give a damn about anything.

No. Dont do that. I HATE it when people do that.
I asked you a damn question and you should answer. If you think you know a way where a few idiotic teenagers can ban together and kick the goverments ass, by all means, i'm listening. The only way we ever CAN do squat is the voting crap and even then..it doesn't matter much. |

So tell me, why do you bother discussing anything, if you aren't really interested in change, anyway (or, at least, don't think it can happen)?

There already is an answering questions with questions thread under forum games.
I discuss my views out of things that are present. and who said I wasnt up for change? And once again, you dodged my question. |

You said you weren't up for change, or at least you said it wasn't a possibility. And I expect most people know some ways of enacting change. This isn't a ninth-grade civics class. |

Gosh, we never got to have these arguments last year. |

You can most definitely change things by discussing them. If we inform more people of our stance, that could change their opinion, in turn, making them vote for someone who supports those opinions instead of the other choice.

A lot of people. Other kids. Voters who are 18-24. Why wouldn't they? We'll be leading them when we're older.

People 18-24 aren't my age.
And oh, maybe, just maybe, those people will grow up to be older voters! |

The only way we ever CAN do squat is the voting crap and even then..it doesn't matter much. Cindy Sheehan is doing a fantastic job by simply being in proximity to the Bush ranch in Texas. Her presence is reflective of the actions many "common" people took in protest of the Vietnam war. She is a figure that represents the growing number of people who are not supporting the war. Given the ability of many people to recognize her name, she is a galvinazing figure in the anti-war movement. |

I'm only 15..dammit..I get to vote next eleection though..
But seriously. I just dont think a few kids, and one regestired voter, can do a lot. Sure they'll grow up but will they still think they same way or will they switch views/sides? Her name is being too popular. She just wants everyone to feel sorry for her son. His choice. She needs to get therapy and grow up. |

Isn't that rather harsh? I don't see any sense of victimization or pity in her actions. Why does she need to grow up? She isn't ranting, full of drama or breaking the law. She is raising awareness of the cost of our involvement in Iraq. Although you might not agree with her views or actions, she is creating a much needed dialogue. Since the consequence of our involvement in Iraq ultimately leads to death, a close examination of our actions is completely justifiable. The ultimate sacrafice of life in the name of the US or any other entity warrants it. |

And Terri Schaivo's parents' case wasn't too popular? They just wanted people to feel bad for their daughter.
Michael and I are not the only people against George Bush. 49% of people who voted last election are too. That's an awful lot. And look at that. I'm 15 too. |

Hey there stars…I gotta say something. I'm not riding ya, or getting on your case…but in sincerity..you can make a difference. Each of us are led to believe that our say so doesn't mean squat…and then occasionally throughout history, we have shining examples that prove otherwise, ie Ghandi. And don't use your age as a justification to just blend in...that is precisely the reason that people look disdainfully upon today's youth and dont' take it seriously...because they dont' take themselves seriously. You know that there was recently a poll taken in middleschools across the country, and 65% of middleschoolers agreed that the media should have to ok a news story with the government before they are able to publish it. Your age group, is the future of our world...and your age group is growing up in the midst of the sh*tstorm that's sweeping our country and the world. If you dont' find purpose and a place in the world...then nothing will ever change. By standing for belief's now...you define yourself from this day forward.
There is a reason why they define your age group as being 'young adult'. You are now growing into what you will be for the rest of your days…and once you pass 20 years, you are then just an adult…and have typically already settled for working every day, and just accepting the crap that is thrown at you. That is also changing. But, in 10 years you will be at the age where your peers will begin to control the world. And that will be the case for at least the next 20. I don't know specifically what you can do besides broadcast your feelings on important events with others around you. Form a group of like minded individuals with a collective purpose. Only when our youth is finally above caring about tabloid gossip...and willing to realize the perils of the world...will our future ever be truly within our grasp. |

I think d**k Cheney is dead. You never really see a good shot of him on TV, I think they are just using a robot in his place (not like Bush would notice) haha.
