I have been searching for a Wii for weeks now and I've been calling stores around my area reguarding it. Finally I find a package that contains the 1 GB Memory Disc, Console, 2 Numchucks/Controllers, 4 $50 games. The total is 600 dollars (plus tax and shipping).

Is that worth it?

No, the Wii is overhyped and it's not worth the current asking price. Wait till more games come out for it.

wtf is a numchuck?

The other piece to the main controller is the numchuck.

Wii : 250
4 Games: 200
Extra controller/nunchaku: 60
1 GB SD card : 20

Total: 530

Not worth 600 bucks.

What 4 games out now are worth buying anyway?

TP? Sonic? Maybe WarioWare?

the 1gb SD card especially for the wii is 59.99 not 20 (although you can find one for that price), im guessing thats the one in the package to promote the wii SD card.

and the console actually comes with one controller and nunchuck. so im guessing you get a set of three all in all and that costs 120.00 for the two set of controller/nunchucks.

all in all

wii 250
games 200
2controls 120
SD 60
__________
total 630

so maybe it is a good deal depending what games you get for the package.

The point I was trying to make is that you can get the same items for cheaper price, not necessarily same brand etc.

The way he described it was system and two controllers, so I took it as that, and not the package plus two.

Anyway, shipping is probably astronomical, and you can't choose your own games. or you could get used for far cheaper as well.

What more can you expect, kid?
Try buying the same things for a ps3.
Or, a 360, that close to it's launch.

Okay, so I might not buy it online. Tomorrow some stores around my area have it and I'm planning on waiting in line.

How early should I get there? I was thinking about waiting in line for about 3-4 hours.

If they're not just getting them in, I wouldn't go that early.

The Wii's been out for a while, so I'm sure they'll have some in stock.

You can also call ahead.
Like, tonight.

Well, I plan to go to Bestbuy which only has about 20-30 of them.
I still don't know when to leave. I guess if one store is too large, I can go to another one.

Nevermind now. I got it. _smile.gif
I waited 3 hours (7-10AM) and I was number 16 out of the 70 people who could get Wiis. Hah.
