Make some good friends. I've never been the 'new girl', but all I know is that don't make yourself look snobby. Be yourself, look friendly, and meet the right people.

Oh dear, dont worry about it.

I have been moving around ever since i was two. and when i was in 6th grade, i was one of the " new students " but trust me, back then i think it was much easier to meet friends. i mean next year i am going to a new high school and i am gonna be a sophmore, everyones gonna have their own friends , i believe it'll be a bit harder to meet friends. but it's okay, its always a new start, right? and just join clubs and meet friends! happy.gif

Don't worry about it, middle school is easy! I came into 6th grade during the end of the year && I'm going into 8th grade right now. Middle school is a breeze. rolleyes.gif Don't worry about the whole locker thing as well, I sucked at it, I had to have other people open it for me && I kept forgetting my combo...Have a good friend memorize if for your if you need help. Usually students are given orientations and a tour around the school before they are to attend the school, right?

You'll get used to it in a few days or so. Join lots of clubs && extra curricular activities while you get the chance, they're loads of fun && you meet new people. In the end, middle school is just elementary, just a few more faces you'll see around the halls. By the end of the year you may just be eager to get into high school already.

memorize your locker combination the first day. it's a disaster if you don't or can't. and try to come up with a lunch cafeteria group soon. find your old friends, but try making new ones too. and try to make a good first impression on the teachers. it isn't that bad really though, the first day

Middle school is really fun! Our middle school has just two grades - 7th and 8th - and then 9th-12th are considered high school. I'm going into 8th.
Oh, and if I were you, I would wear pretty comfortable clothes on the first day. Don't wear something too tight or too loose. You're most likely gonna be lost and nervous and stressed out enough, so you don't wanna be concerned about wardrobe malfunctions.
There are going to be tons of other kids your age wandering around, just as lost as you are. Surely, one of them will know how to open a locker, even if you can't figure it out. If you can't get it open, ask for help! :-)
And I'm sure if you're just starting middle school, you're teachers will be pretty leniant with tardiness. When I started in 7th grade, teachers couldn't penalize you for being late to class for the first two weeks! I never got a tardy in that entire year!

It'll be a lot of fun, I'm sure. Just be yourself.

okai first of all if no one said this alreadii.. "use the edit button next time instead of double posting"

but yes.. Just lyk the majority of what the ppl have said.. "Just be ur self.. and niice" cuz if you're lyk that there is someone bond to come up to you and say.. "hi" just start saying hi to random ppl.. Or just smile.. lo0k happy.. Try to NOT to act new.

There's really no MAJOR mistakes you can make.. Cuz ur only going to the wat 6th grade? it's kinda lyk elementary.. but just with more kids..

Hope this helps..

1) don't double post
2) wear what you want to wear, or you can refer to magazine tips.
3) relax. it's just effing middle school. it's not that big of a deal.

Okay, let's see what I can do.

1 - Do your homework. Study. Please. Try your best in school. If you don't it will really screw you up later. I don't care if it's only middle school. It still counts, especially when you're picking classes to go to high school.

2 - With procrastination, sure, do a little of it, we all get lazy, but I don't advise it. Especially on huge projects, just get it over with! I'm sure your parents won't be too happy if you have to send them to the store for supplies the night before it's due.

3 - Join clubs, make friends, all that jazz. PLEASE DO NOT WORRY ABOUT GETTTING POPULAR! With my friends, the popular people actually have a bad reputation, not a good one. And don't be afraid to join something like chorus or band if you really want to. It's about what you think, not others. Your true friends should accept you for that.

4 - Do not be surprised if you drift away from your old friends. This is normal. Don't be afraid to make new friends. Keep in touch with old ones, if you can, unless they are going to have a bad influence on you.

5 - Don't let crushes take over your life. Seriously. It will annoy the crap out of your friends, plus you have better things to worry about. Relationships in middle school are NOT recommended. You have enough stress on your shoulders.

6 - Keep secrets, unless it's something to do with eating disorders, suicide, serious stuff like that. I mean the little secrets, such as who likes who. And make sure if you do tell your secrets to your friends that they are trustworthy - if you don't want a whole bunch of people knowing. If it slips to the wrong people they will most likely: A) Blackmail you. B) Tell the whole grade/school.

7 - I think one of the synonyms for adolescence is "drama". Expect drama. It's nothing out of the ordinary. Please don't say, "Oh, my life sucks!!!!!!" when drama happens to you because there are a lot of kids with AIDS starving in Africa... *rants about that for a little while*

8 - Become friendly with your teachers, but don't become a teacher's pet (bad reputation on all sides). It makes school seem less like a prison, plus you might find that some of the teachers are pretty cool.

9 - I know you'll hear this a lot, but don't be a bully, tell someone if you're bullied, and tell someone if you see another kid getting bullied. Physical scars are bad, and scars made by words can be worse.

10 - Just have fun in middle school. You'll make so many friends, have so many inside jokes, and be prepared to face high school!

Well, that seems like a nice 10 tips for ya. Good luck!
