The Relationship
Blind date,
Wasn’t it great?
Second date,
Unsure yet
We finally kissed,
Can this really be happening to me?
Moving so quickly
Are we rushing into things?
Great times
Beautiful nights
The kind of couple where people say ‘aw, how cute’
Happy birthday hun
Nice Gucci bag for you
We know each other inside and out
Your favorite movie - The Notebook
Favorite band - Three Days Grace
And I still can't get over that beautiful face
But now is now
And that was then
Yet this blast from the past is making me think
Gotta look forward
No more turning heads
She has dumped me now
In a crushing defeat
But I must call it a day
And take the harsh beat
Now I see her down the hall
Turn my head down when I see her
Trying to pretend nothing happened at all
But who could do the same,
With that wonderful thing we had
Well I guess in the end,
It was all for the best.
This is truly the story of the relationship
Sure, love at first sight is a true and wonderful thing
But who thinks if that person still loves the other at last sight,
No one thinks of the small things anymore,
The way that the world turns,
Maybe that's where I went wrong,
One day I will become smarter and strong,
And I will realize the meaning to love,
But until then, the story of the relationship is bound to go on
