Putting animations in the extended network box. Options

Is it possible? I heard you could but pictures, what about animations? its a GIF animating with letters that moves, thats it. Could someone give me the code to do it? I heard it had to be a certain width and height, what is it?

yea you can put an animated banner in there. save it as .gif
