My hair is very straight. Each time I try to crimp, curl, or make it wavy - It falls flat again. _dry.gif I have heard that if your hair is more full that you can style it. I have tried shampoos, conditioners, leave in spray products, gel - but nothing works. sad.gif I have always worn my hair down when I go to school; but I would really like to change my hair now. Any tips on what I might be doing wrong? Or some kind of hair product that might work for me? Thanks!

My hair's somewhat like that. This one time, I wanted my hair to look kinda' wavy so I washed my hair & when it's still a little damp, briad your whole entire head or parts of it. then sleep with it, & when you wake up the next morning, take it down & comb it a little bit. NO water, 'bcuhs it will juhs make your hair straight again. Try it out.

GAH! How can your hair be to straight? blink.gif My hairs to curly, well wavy, i was 'blessed' with wavy hair. But anyway I agree with wtting your hair and braiding it, comb it a bit, and it'll stay crimped for awhile.

dayummm, i wish i had hair that was "too straight". my hair is a wavy and looks terrible.

maybe you can ask your hair dresser for some ideas?

oh, and also.. you can use a curling iron. keep the curling iron on it for a longer time since your hairs so straight. and while your curling it, but some hair spray in it. i'm sorry, i really don't know what to tell you since i've never been in this situation.. oh, and btw: i'm not sure how long that whole curling iron & hairspray would work. i dunno _unsure.gif

well anyways, sorry if i wasn't any help.
you could also do the braiding thing like the others have said above me.
that should defiantely work.

agreed. cry.gif

I think the braid thing would work for you tho...or maybe you should go to a hair stylist and ask them how to curl/make your hair wavy. I'm sure they'd have suggestions _smile.gif

my hair is thick, and i mean THICK. so i'd love to be able to have it straighter...but anyways, i was thinkin, instead of trying all these products in, just try styling it different .

like i dunno, try puttin it up in a funky way or sumthin, instead of tryna curl it and leave it hanging loose.

straight hair is lovely though. i was gona say, if you have straighteners your could sorta straighten it into different sitting positions, but im guessing you dont seein as your hair is staight already mellow.gif

well wetting it and sleeping with it in curlers, or braids or twists seems like the best thing to do.

You could soak your hair then do french braids, in the morning it'll be crimpy. Or if you want a intirely new look get it layered around your face, i did it this morning, it looks good, even on straight hair! biggrin.gif

theres this new thing called curling shampoo. and it should work but im not sure

just try like getting it in layered bangs and putting your hair up in different styles. use things like headbands and clips and such but if you want overall change, try a perm or something.

Get a perm or when your hair is wet, put mousse in it and scrunch it, then put lots of hairspray in it. Or if that doesn't work, then put it up in a ponytail, in a bun, etc. Look at hairstyle magazines for ideas.

scrunch it. after washing your hair while it is still pretty wet.. get mousse and scrunch all of the hair. you can just do it w/ your hands or put it up in a messy bun for a little while [ like sleep w/ it.. but if you dont hav the time it doesnt matter ] then to keep it that way.. use hairspray. it should work since you're hair isnt too thick and if its not really long like mine it'll work. [ mine doesnt really anymore cuz its so long.. but it shoudl work for you :) ]

Same here thick hair is common in latinas....sucks, but Ima proud, but anyway, instea dof curling, becasue heat damages hair and perms are damaging, try a new style, a new ponty tail do conr rows or something like that....

i have thick straight hair whilst the rest of my family sorta has frizzy or curly. believe me, i've tried EVERYTHING in attempt to curl or wave my hair. i tired braiding it over night....undid the braid in the morning and it just fell back into its limp straight locks. i even tried perming. that worked for a day or two. =S

You could get a perm for curly. But if you don't like it, you're stuck with it.

Or try this: take a shower before you go to bed. Put your hair in a bun and sleep on it. By the time morning comes, let down your hair and you will have natural waves.

I wish I had your hair. I have to straighen mine all the time. It wastes about thirty minutes of my day just styling it and not to mention it's so damaged. sad.gif Be lucky you have that kind of hair.

I suggest using a Dove shampoo, it has worked miracles on my hair. it makes your hair fuller, shinier, and softer. and you can actually see the difference after having used it once. I'm not sure if you'll have the same results but everytime my friends ask me what to do about their hair problems I always suggest Dove. lol now that I think of it pretty much everyone I know is using Dove products! lol.

use it and see...but it should work! good luck _smile.gif
