Div Layers, Codes, and Confusion, Non existent edit button Options

I recently converted my layout to that of a customized div overlay.

I put in a code which directed the hiding of the regular profile page, as it kept showing up in the background of the layout.

I then decided to modify some things, yet when I go to the edit page, I am unable to edit my profile, in fact the whole page in invisible...my profile is only seen.

It seems obvious that the code may be the culprit, and I was wondering whether or not the url can be given, or if some other solution is available.
