The Grand Finale! The Last Show On The World Stage! La Final! Finally! The two best teams remain, and give it their all today.
France - The once doubtful team gained momentum after their last group match and carried it on through the 2nd round eliminating 2 big favorites, Spain and Brazil. Now they're 90 mins (or more..) from winning their 2nd star on their shirt. Thisis going to be a very emotional game for Zidance, as he is playing his last game. Not any game. Italia - Italia has always been in my top 3 favorite teams. They too pulled upsets. The hard fought match against the USA gave me a couple of second-thouhgts, but after their performace throughout the 2nd round, I knew they were worthy of a final appearance. If Italia wins, it would be the Azzuri's 4th star on their shirt, only one away from the kings, Brazil. I'm rootin' for the Azzuri! GO ITALIA!!! |
