Someone says, I LOVE whomever FOREVER AND EVER!!

And like next month, they break up.

I find that amusing and quite stupid.

I agree!

We, as high school students have no understanding of the meaning of 'love'. There's no way. And even if you truly do love your gf/bf, how would you know? You're only in high school, and you probably havn't gone through enough relationships to know what defines love and what defines attraction.

Once you've abused 'i love you' to the point where you say it to every single one of your boyfriends, esp. on the first few days of your relationship, you've made
'i love you' devoid of any substance.

People who tend to randomly throw the phrase 'i love you' just to conform to the protocols of high school couple gibberish are, in my personal opinion, idiots.

I used to be like that. I threw the words 'I love you' everywhere. And then I met him. He told me he loved me. And I just said it back. Coz you know, when someone says they love you, it just seems like what you should do.

He really did love me and everytime he said he loved me, I'd just say it back, even though I wasn't sure exactly what I felt for him. And when I finally realised I did love him, I felt kinda bad coz I'm been lying to him all that while.

But I guess it was kinda a good thing I did that or I'd have just told him in the beginning I didn't love him and then I'd have lost out on something really great.

When I was still with the same guy, one day his friend (who's also my friend) told me he loved me. And this time I knew, I wasn't gonna lie again. But still it's really awkward you know? He says 'I love you' and you're like silent.

people are too quick to assume the good feelings they get when they first start going out with somebody is love .. the word is thrown around way too much .. sometimes you have to sit and think carefully to gather the reasons why you truly LOVE somebody .. if you say it to your friends you can say *luv* and it has a different more affection and friendly meaning .. love is serious and shouldn't be taken lightly .. love is just a word until its worth is proven to you ..

Lol.. yah thats amusing. I think people (more specifically girls) should avoid saying the word forever. Coz that just makes matters worse. It's like.. when you guys break it up you'll be asking yourself "was that already forever?" which is kind of an irony dontcha think? So for all of us youngsters ( biggrin.gif ), it would be best if we took our current relationships at a slow pace. Coz honestly, theres a lot more to life than just having a boyfriend or a girlfriend or even dating. And frankly, when most of us get into a relationship, we tend to make the entire universe revolve around that relationship and we forget about the other beauties of life that deserve our attention too. And when we lose that relationship and that significant other of our young hearts, we feel like the whole world has gone to an end. So yah... date, (its fun tongue.gif ) and have relationships. Just keep it one step at a time... and think before you actually proclaim the commitment of "forever". Over all, both words-forever and love- are over used and abused =/

But I do really love my bf... ermm.gif I do say "I love you" to him alot.. beucas ei really do...

I do agree that one needs to go through enough experiences to be able to realize what love is... but I can't explain it but, I have this strange feeling that makes me want him and miss my bf alot.. ah well... maybe what I have may seem like puppy love.. but it's alot more than that..

Yes, it's sad that people don't know what love actually is, and abuse the word as if it has no meaning at all.

some people are smart, so when they go out with someone they said "i luv ya" or "love ya", somehow it doesn't mean as much as writing it all out in the correct spelling "I love you", that is the real deal, the other is just the substitute. am i making any sense?

love. that word scares me. it was my greatest discovery, and then became something i wish i didnt know about. i told one of my ex's that i loved her. and she got scared. after that, it wasnt the same. a few months later and we broke up. i felt dead, or like i wanted to die. im so scared of saying that word now.

this "love". i have to defeat it. till then, i wont ever say it again.

somones gonna say - you cant defeat love. well you know what buddy, it was a bad analogy. laugh.gif

That makes me want to throw up.
They are 14 and 15 years old.

i know...it makes me mad. Becuase in most cases it's just to show off that they are in "love" to make everyone without a bf feel bad. Middle School is cruel....just can't wait till highschool *sarcastically*

At my high school people do that all the time...
It doesnt even matter who the couple is. I've seen couples that have been together for a week, for 2 months, for a year, for 2 years, and they all say it. The thing is - I think a lot of those relationships will last and even up through college and the rest of life, the relationship they're in now will be something they won't forget.

I think you can be in love when you're fourteen/fifteen, but the majority of people that age aren't mature enough, and cannot come close to comprehending the concept of love.

I noticed that alot as well. I, at first, am gullible and believe that they're really in love and that I'm wrong with my assumptions, but each....and every time after I turn believe a couple is really in love, they break up. Bah, I got to stick with what I think. pinch.gif

But yes it is possible to be in love in your teen years...its just a matter of a whole lot of factors to prove it I guess...er something, I dunno... blink.gif

Hhaha... well my recent bf (broke up tho. _dry.gif i get angry easily because of him... this is one of the reasons why)

I guess i liked him alot ever since i met him... cause i ono. he was so kind and stuff... well anyways. I told him that i loved him... and i meant it soooooo much. surprisingly, he told me the same... and i was so happy.

6 months later, he tells me that he finally realized that he loved me. I was like. what kinda sh!t is this!! mad.gif he lied to me the whole time. and when we were discussing it, he said that "he just didnt know what he felt" and i was so angry because he had been lieing to me all this time. He was lying when he said that he loved me, when he said that he truly thought we were suppose to be together, blhablhahblhlhahblha...

and then i guess i got annoyed and could never fully trust him again, even if i was suppose to forgive and forget... i couldnt... whenever he siad i love you, it reminded me so much of that time when he lied, and i just couldnt take it anymore. as he tried to be closer to me, i tried to forget about it. then he began to tell me that he thought i didnt love him... etc... that i didnt care...

i mean... WHAT THE F*CK IT THAT i was trying so hard and just cause he didnt know, he kept telling me that i ws doing it wrong or whatevers. all i can say is... @#$%^ mad.gif

kiddies, never ever make the mistake that my exbf made.
