how did Tal_Dara make those cool graphics on his Xanga?
was it just a gradient fill back ground
and then added scan lines?

how do you make graphics that look like that?

his banner is an animated gif which can be made from any animation programs. you can look at tutorials online, or pm him and ask.

would this work
I have Photoshop 7

Image > Adjustments > Gradient Map
and make a gradient map to color the background right
and then add scan lines
by doing this

1: Create a new image, 1x2 pixels in dimensions. Using the line/pencil tool make one pixel black and one white.
2: select the whole image, select Edit > Define Pattern.
3: Edit > Fill and select pattern and set up. adjust the opacity for the strength of scanlines.

right and did you just create a new layer(s)
and blend stuff in like in this pic here?

using jasc paint shop pro or adobe photoshop can help you to make graphics like that

tha thing that vapor said wuz about right...but instead of 1px white and 1px black, it should be 1px black, and 1px transparent......
