QUOTE(Despise @ Jun 18 2005, 1:30 PM) Ireland -- Irish soda bread is my favorite. Corned beef and cabbage is a traditional dish there, and I like that a lot too. Norway -- I don't like much from Norway. I guess Lefse is okay if it's not plain. I was just gonna say I don't know any foods from Ireland or Norway. Thanks, Brie. I do like both. Oh, and there's this one dessert from Scotland I think called Spotted d**k. Yes it sounds delicous. |

QUOTE(azn_r4pf4n @ Jun 23 2005, 8:26 AM) Chinese food (got a whole bunch): Fried rice - has to be very good.! the type of fried rice makes a difference! These noodles (forgot the name. "zhee mien" in cantonese. dont know the name of noodles) Dim sum - I've ate a lot of the same dim sum usually in chinese restaurants but if i try a new type, its good no matter what it is. not afraid of the taste. ^ That also. That sticky rice they put on those green leaves. Those are good also. Theres probably more. wow~ i am also a chinese! i like these food very much! |

QUOTE(not_your_average @ Jun 17 2005, 8:15 PM) I searched, and I couldn't find any topics that asked people to submit their favorite foods from their home countries. I thought it would be cool if you could give us your favorite food from your home country, and if possible, submit a recipe for that food. I'm from India, so my personal favorite food from there is pau bhaaji. It's kind of like a burger, only the filling in between the bread is a vegetable mix. I'll try to find a recipe later. Lilly!! I did not know you were from India! That is so awesome :) Yes, my family is from India, so I just love the regular rice and chicken curry. |

hmm..im chinese but my mind totally just went blank. haha.
i like dragon rice, AKA sticky rice on these green leaves. i dip mine in sugar unless its the salty kind, with actual meat or veggie ingredients. mm, fish balls; they're not actually..FISH BALLS, but you put them i nyour hot pot and thats good. fried rice gives me headaches. its too un original. DIM SUM! ill eat it everyday and never get sick of it. OH OH!!! and i absolutely love the bread bakeries in taiwan and hong kong. its so yummy! i always get the gread with the shreded beef in the middle. OMGAH. and bubble tea. its the best thing invented, EVEr. oh, and i know im not vietmanese oranything but PHO is soooo good. and so are their spring rolls wrapped with that whitish clear wraps. yum. |
