1. Houston Texans select MARIO WILLIAMS
I don't like this pick. If they were going to pick Mario Williams they should have moved down a spot. Williams is a great defensive end though, and the Texans really need help at that end of the ball anyway. 2. New Orleans Saints select REGGIE BUSH Good pick, even though they already have Deuce Mcallister in their backfield. And yeah, I spelled his name wrong. 3. Tennessee Titans select Vince Young God, their idiots. At the same I'm very glad they didnt pick Matt Leinart. 4. New York Jets select D'Brickashaw Ferguson Great pick. 5. Green Bay Packers select A.J. Hawk Good pick, should improve their defense to an extent. This guy is a proven playmaker. 6. San Francisco 49'ers select Vernon Davis Great pick for the Niners. This guy is a freak in the weight room, he's set every single Maryland University weight record. Not only that, this guy's hands are great and he's quick as hell (4.33 40 yd dash), which make up for his lack of elite height (6-3). 7. Oakland Raiders select Michael Huff The safety from Texas U. He doesn't seem like an ideal safety to me, he'll get knocked around a bit. They might switch him to CB. 8. Buffalo Bills select Donte Whitner Another safety. I don't know much about the Bills, and so I don't know if this is a good pick. But, Whitner is a fine safety and I expect him to start. 9. Detroit Lions select Ernie Simms This guy is a monster of a linebacker. He's undersized but plays much bigger. 10. Arizona Cardinals select Matt Leinart Who'd of seen this happening? This guy was the consensus No. 1 pick in 2004, he played just as well in 2005, but he slips to the Cardinals. Either way, this 2-time state champion, 2-time National champ, 3-time All-american is a great pick up for the Cards. They have 1 or 2 years to groom him under Kurt Warner, who himself was a 2-time super bowl MVP. 11. Denver Broncos select Jay CutlerGod, this guy is ugly. But hey, thats life. This guy is gonna be a bust. I'm callin it. 12. Baltimore Ravens select Haloti Ngata They needed someone to block for Lewis. So they picked up this fatass to clog the line. 13. Cleveland Browns select Kamerion Wimbley Good pass rusher = good pick. 14. Philidelphia Eagles select Brodrick Bunkley This boy is big. The eagles needed a big guy to clog the line for the backers, and thats what they got. 15. St. Louis Rams select Tye Hill Very fast CB, they wanted him at no. 11 and they got him, and a third round pick at no. 15. 16. Miami Dolphins select Jason Allen Don't know much about him. 17. Dallas Cowboys select Bobby Carpenter The cowboys needed some depth at LB, and they got it with Carpenter. 19. San Diego Chargers select Antonio Cromartie Biggest boom or bust potential in the draft. Some say he's an elite CB, others say he's...not. He missed the entire 2005 season and was still a top 20 pick, so that shows how highly esteemed the Chargers hold him. Nobody knows how this is gonna pan out. 20. Kansas City Chiefs select Tamba Hali This is a talented situational pass rusher. This guy has the motivation and the skills to be a priemer DE, but he is still pretty raw, so technique has to be worked on along with the addition of some new moves. 21. New Englad Patriots select Laurence Maroney DeAngelo Williams would have been the pick I would have taken. Because Maroney is bigger, it might have put him ahead of Williams. With Corey Dillon slowing down they needed a RB, but Williams would have been the smarter choice. 22. San Francisco 49ers select Manny Lawson The defensive end that played opposite of Mario Williams (1st overall selection) is a great pass rusher. He was severely un-hyped because of playing on the same line as Williams, but his skills are superb. 23. Tampa Bay Bucs select Davin Joseph I don't know much about the OG's of the draft. That being said, Jean Gilles was a consensus #1 Guard pick. 24. Cincinatti Bengals select Jonathan Joseph Joseph has a ton of upside, though I thought Jimmy Williams would have gotten the pick. 25. Pittsburgh Steelers select Santonio Holmes This certainly fills a need, but I think LenDale White would have been a better pick. I know he has some minor maturity issues, but White would have been the replacement to Jerome Bettis. The steelers do not run a speed running game, they have always advocated power running. Willie Parker does not embody POWER running. And he fumbles too damn much. 26. Buffalo Bills select John McCargo Again, dont know much about the bills. and dont know anything about John McCargo 27. Carolina Panthers select DeAngelo Williams The Memphis running back who re-wrote the schools record books was chosen 27th overall. Rediculous. This guy has set so many NCAA records its stupid to see a player of his caliber get chosen before some of the previous players. But, teams chose for need, and this is the way it panned out. 28. Jacksonville Jaguars select Marcedes Lewis A big, effective tight end. The most complete tight end the draft. Can catch and block. Very difficult to bring down. Quick, but not fast. I didn't want to see him go here. 29. New York Jets select Nick Manigold Who the hell is Nick Manigold? 30. Indianapolis Colts select Joseph Addai I would have liked to see Maurice Drew go in place of him, but thats just my Bay Area bias. 31. Seattle Seahawks select Kelly Jennings I don't know much about Jennings, but they needed help in the secondary, and they apparently addressed it here. 32. New York Giants select Mathias Kiwanuka They already have a great pass rushing tandem in Osi Umenyiora and Mike Strahan. But this pick adds depth, and a successor to strahan whos getting up there in years. Leave draft comments or comments on my little thingy thing if you'd like. |

hahaha becuz ima patriots fan i know most about them and they fid a great job nabbing chad jackson, the BESt wr in the draft, in the top of the 2nd round.
i was suprised by the texans move to take mario williams in a spot where d-lineman usually dont pan out. i was also suprised that the saints didn't trade down out of the 2 spot. bush is a great pick but youd figure that they wouldn't want a rb controversy. vince young is a scary pick because hes either going to be great or a dud depending on how quickly he adjusts. if they can work out mcnairs situation it might give young some time to develop. grabbing lendale white in the second round was an amazing steal!! jets made a quality pick by picking up this clog in the oline without a doubt the best looking lb in the draft, hawk goes to the team that has, without a doubt, the most needs in the offseason. should be an immeadiate starter. davis is a freak! add some depth to the recieving core that has very shallow depth after the departure of brandon lloyd (who will be a star for the redskins) theyll prolly play him in a lot of different spots and it will be interesting to see him stretch the field with his tremendous speed. a pick obviously made for quality gives the raiders a talented db in huff, who will probably replace charles woodson at corner given his playing style bills make areally odd pick selecting this guy a lot higher than anyone would've expected at a position where the need isnt that high. great pick for the lions snatching a future probowler in sims. was the number1 lb on some teams charts. shud b an immeadiate force on defense. cards taking leinart has to be the pick with the most quality besides the aforementioned selections of usc teammate lendale white and the pats getting chad jackson. This team is definitely on the right track and should break out in their week division either this year of next. ill try to do the rest of the first rd. when i have more time. |

the jets didnt even have a CHANCE of getting Bush without trading up. The texans made the right move, even if the fans dont like it.

11-15
11. cutler is considered by some the best in the drafft but im suprised he went this high. he has experience in an nfl system but he didnt win much in college.we'll have to wait for jake plummer to leave before we can see if he has what it takes 12. dont know much about this guy so im not gonna say that much about him. the ravens needed an o lineman with ogden getting older so they got one in ngata. 13. this fsu product will prolly switch to line backer in the nfl and has the size to do it. hes got skills and knows how to get to the qb. could do great things at the next level. 14. another seminole, hes a force on the line. possibly the next corey simon (another fsu guy drafted by the eagles in the 1st rd.) he hes def. gonna be a pro bowler. 15. i think this guy is a little overrated but decent value at the 15 spot. hes fast but gets pushed around to much. will prolly start with the rams' needs at corner. |

I think Vernon Davis is going to be looked at as a STEAL years from now. He is one of a kind.

Haloti Ngata is a defensive tackle. QUOTE I think Vernon Davis is going to be looked at as a STEAL years from now. He is one of a kind. I don't think that you can call him a steal if he's picked in the top ten. That being said, I think he's gonna be a great weapon for Alex Smith. If only he were taller.... *sigh* OTHER NOTABLE DRAFTEE'S Omar Jacobs, QB- Probably my favorite Quarterback in the 2005 draft. He came out of Bowling Green University. Threw 49 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions his freshman year. Insane. He's going to have a rough transition, but the DAMN STEELERS took him in fifth round. Those bastards, they don't need him. He may be doomed to a career as a backup. Maurice Drew- Came from the BAY AREA, played with De La Salle during it's historic 151-game winning streak. This guy is gonna be good. He's only 5'5 but the guy is ALL muscle. Went to Jacksonville in the second round. D'Quell Jackson - Many people compared this guy to Ray Lewis. There is nobody better to be compared to. He might have to switch to the outside due to his size. Went to Cleveland, round two. More later.. |

I knew he got drafted by the eagles, just wouldering why he wasn't listed. He's dating Cam from the real world. Lucky girl speaking of the real world, they are in Denver shooting :) |
