The school didn't really host anything special for 8th graders when I was in 8th grade (five years ago).

Whaaat?! Our school sucks. We had no field trips this year ( We actually didn't have any the whole time I was there- 3 years), no guest speakers, nothing. Well.....we did have eighth grade celebration, which consisted of rockwall climbing, a band, and some other things....but really, it wasn't that great, cause we had to pay like 16 dollars or something. Blaaah.

My school didn't really have anything special for the 8th graders. We went to Six Flags for our senior trip... and had a graduation dance, which sucked.

We have this thing called " 8th Grade Square", and it's one big competition between the three 8th grade homerooms. They make us do really stupid games, like the last game we did, we had to dress up in a grass skirt and hula hoop while running. ;p My homeroom came in second.

June 10- Last Dance. Yeah it sucked.
June 20 or sooner- Yearbooks
June 22- Graduation. Yay!
June 23- 8th Grade Softball game. The most athletic 8th graders go against our middle school staff in a softball game.
June 24- Diplomas, report cards, last day of school.

May 19-20, went on a class trip to Washington, D.C.

June 9, Girls and Boys compete in a Softball Game (Boys pummeled them, even though they play baseball!) Over the announcements, they were so embarrassed to say the score that instead they go "The score was too much to not enough." hahha.

June 10, Field Day

June 10, Assembly to introduce us to the High School

June 17, Formal Graduation Dance

June 20-23, Graduation Practice (all half days)

June 23, Get yearbooks and then Graduation (at night)(last day of school)

June 24, Receive report cards/GEPA scores/classes in the mail

we had an eighth grade dance on the last day of school?...and..every year, in the fall, there's an eighth grade volleyball team vs. staff members volleyball game and at the end of the year there's an eighth grade basketball team vs. staff members basketball game..

why do you assume all schools have special activities planned all week?

last week of school we're having our big dance/"8th grade event," special breakfast, mayor's awards.
