links inside image, coordinates? |

I'm trying to figure out how to make it so my links are part of my image/picture. I know that I have to do the whole map thing where I insert the coords, but I dont know how to figure out what those coords are. Does Photoshop somehow give them when I select an area? I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain it to me. Thank you.

I haven't figured out how to do it on Photoshop but if you have Paint Shop Pro you can use the Selector tool and the coordinates pop up in the bottom status bar.

You could open the picture in imageready. there's a tool in image ready that can give you the coordinates.

Well you could always make the banner a link you know?
Do it like this <a HREF=" inser the link here"><img src="insert banner picture here" border="0"></a> Yeah, I think that's how it is... |

you can refer to waccoon's tutorial on image maps (in the Web Developers Chat forum)
for the coordinates, if you don't have photoshop, then you can use paint. if you do have photoshop, it would be in the info toolbar; the bottom left corner of the toolbar, there is a crosshair, and those are the x and y coordinates EDIT: alfskater: ah, thanks |
